Rating: V0
Quality: 3 stars
Location: Joshua Tree
Notes: Irresistable face!
Study: It's impossible to
say who may have done the first ascent of
this problem. Probably some young Cahuillia'n
warrior 400 years ago! The wall could tickle
the urge to climb out of any human who may
have happened along it's base. Reminiscent
of giant prehistoric scales, the criss-cross
cracks in the patina'ed face can be climbed
almost anywhere. The obvious line on this
face is the left edge of the "dinosaur"
scales.
The crux comes right off the bat as you try
to situate your feet above the undercut face.
Climb up the left edge of the wall on beautiful
incut slots, until about half way. From there,
most traverse on the jugs that are splattered
all across the upper face. The wall is about
22ft. tall and has an abundance of jugs near
the top.
