Subject: Black Mamba
Rating: V12
Quality: 3 stars
Location: Tram
Notes: Finger strippin' good!

Black Mamba is one of the premier testpieces at Tram - steep, powerful, and a little sandbagged! This problem has all the young guns turnin' up for a showdown. Originally done as a stand up (called Stretch Armstrong), by local hardman Dave Struthers. Dan Mills linked it from the sit (Black Flame to Stretch Armstrong) several years later, calling it Black Mamba. Dan originally called it a V12, but the two subsequent repeats have both said V13, so this one may get an upgrade, or as some say - upstroked.

The problem starts as a low sit, at a shallow finger-pocket and an incut crimp. Big lockoffs lead to small incuts on a steep wall, followed by a big (and precise) dyno to an incut tramslot. Easier moves head over the bulge slightly to the right.
