Subject: The Honey Pots
Rating: V2
Quality: 3 stars
Location: Tram
Notes: Gets it's name from the sap-laden buckets at the
top of the problem
Study: The honey Pots is a beautiful
lite-moderate problem that exits the right side of a blue/grey
wave of granite. Located high above Long Valley at Tram.
The first ascentionist of this problem remains a mystery,
possibly Wills Young (although he doesn't recall doing
it), possibly Rob Mulligan. E.Z. Eric Harrison dubbed
the problem “Honey Pots”.
The problem starts from a sit and quickly steepens as
it moves up a large “fang” shaped flake. It
then exits the near horizontal wave about 10ft. up, moving
to the right and onto the headwall, finishing on slopes
and slopey jugs. The problem is approximately 14ft.tall
at the top with a sloping, soft dirt landing.
