Notes: F%#king sick!
Somewhere in Time was a long-standing project
at Tram until visiting Brit Matt Birch happened upon it
(actually, we dragged him over there!). Matt worked the
project casually over the course of six days, before sending
the climb with apparent ease. Matt raves of the quality
of the line and describes the moves as "physical".
The problem climbs a crack line on a 45° overhanging
wall, with this highly enticing lone crimp that begs to
be grabbed. The problem also has a potential sit start,
however, it remains unclear whether its even possible
to climb it from there (or worth it).
The problem starts at high underclings. Shorter people
may even have to stack a few pads to get on it. High body
tension moves leads out to the lone crimp. Some fancy
footwork unlocks the powerful big move to slopers at the
lip. The problem finishes up with a few intimidating long
moves, off of slopers, to get you over the headwall and
to knobby jugs. The problem finishes about 15ft. up and
has large jumbled rocks around the base, so bring a few
extra pads!
