Notes: Climbs a"boulder" that is actually a
free standing shard of rock 16ft. tall and 1 ft. thick!
Tree Attack. If you are walking up to it, and don't see
the boulder its on, it's bacause the boulder is hiding
behind a tree! It's pretty cool! Put up by Joe Morgan
and Tyler Shields way back in like '99. The problem gets
its name because of a persistent little tree that could
potentially impale a person. Some day, I'm sure, the tree
will grow large enough to render the problem unclimbable.
Start at the base of a huge diamond shaped flake, at
an obvious black xeno and a crimp. It was originally done
off-routing the arete on the right (and given a V9). Using
the arete at the start seems to be the accepted way, as
well as being the natural way to start. Climb the awkward
underside of the flake system, punching through to the
easier upper side. Tops out at about 15ft. Carefully straddle
the knife edged top and downclimb the back.
