Subject: Tribe Called Conquest
Rating: V5
Quality: 4 stars
Location: Tram
Notes: Proud
This problem could be Trams finest highball. The rock
is superior and the finishing moves are heady. From the
awkward flaring crack moves at the bottom, to the 20ft.
tall sloper finish, the climb has a distinct oldschool
feel to it. First ascented by Joe Morgan. Dan Mills added
a desperate direct finish (V7) that goes straight up the
headwall above the crack.
Start up a flaring lieback crack to a horizontal break
in the rock, about 15ft. high. Take a good shake out and
then head left, following a diagonal fracture, to knobby
slopers and an upper slab - or, from the horizontal break,
continue straight up on small cruxy holds on a short headwall.
Either way, the climb is about 23ft. tall, with the original
left finish having a stepped landing area.
