putting on a slideshow tonight (tuesday,
13th) at Threshhold
climbing gym in Riverside. The show
will start sometime between 7 - 8 pm,
and will cost $5 for non members.
Outlaw
Bouldering Competition -
There is a bouldering comp coming up on
May 10th at Vertical Heaven and also coming
up - The Pine Mountain Pull down in September.
New climbing gym in
Riverside - ThreshHold,
is having a grand opening event on April
5th where they will be having a premier
of Spray and also a small comp on their
19ft high ball boulder (complete with
foam pit).

Megacomp Results: Well,
it seems like we had posted the wrong
info abou the results of this comp. Heres
the real skinny - Well over 150 people
competed this year. In the open division,
Garrett Gregor took first, followed closly
by Kyle Owen, and Craig Gilbert. For womwn,
looks like Zsa Balilo took first in the

Megacomp II:
Hanger 18 in Upland is gearing up for
their MEGACOMPII. This ABS comp. will
be held on November 3rd. For more information

Beach City Halloween Comp:
"We ordered a bunch of SoIll glow
in the dark holds and the whole comp will
be under black lights. I'm pretty sure
we are giving away 4 mad pads as prizes
for the winners (at least thats what I've
been told) and I'm sure some other stuff
as well. The registration is $20 and everyone
gets a t-shirt for competing. If you wanna
pre-reg call BCR at (310) 973-3388. I
know there is already at least half a
dozen decently strong climbers competing
so it should be pretty fun. Also, if you
come wear a costume!"
Rock City comp results:
Well, we can't seem to find any official
results for the comp at Rockcity in Anaheim
Hills, but Louie Anderson reports to us
that around 100 people showed up to compete,
with Kyle Owen winning the redpoint comp.
and Garrett Gregor taking first in the
superfinal challenge.
Hanger 18 Comp:
Hanger 18 in Upland will be hosting
an ABS comp. on November 3rd. We will
post more info as it becomes available.
Rockcity Comp:
We hear that Rock City in Anaheim Hills
will host an ABS comp on October 6th,
although we can't find any official info
on the event. We also hear that Rock City
is just finishing up on a major remodel/expansion.
SLO-OP Comp:
SLO-OP climbing gym in San Louis Obispo

the SLO-OP. Most noticeably the back wall
has been replaced by a radically overhung
masterpiece. If you have not yet climbed
on it you should drop what you are doing
this instant and head over. On Saturday
October 13th at 10am, yes in just over
a month, we will be holding our 2nd annual
Season For Squeezing bouldering competition!
This year we are part of the American
Bouldering Series or ABS. So expect to
meet out of town climbers and become nationally
ranked. If national ranking and meeting

route setters plus the local setting crew
